Important update: Paradise closure, including Osteria Rialto & Bar Biltmore

Dear friends,

First of all, we want to say thank you. Thank you for building a beautiful community with us, for believing in us, for taking a risk with us. We can’t wait to come back to Bloorcourt, again.

It feels like only yesterday that Paradise triumphantly re-opened its doors — which makes this announcement all the heavier.

  • Paradise Theatre, our restaurant Osteria Rialto and our cocktail bar Bar Biltmore are closed as of Monday, March 16. We are constantly monitoring the Public Health Agency of Canada and will follow their lead to plan our re-opening accordingly.

If you have a ticket for an upcoming event, we will be in touch within the next three days. If you do not receive an email by Friday, March 20, please forward your ticket confirmation email to boxoffice@paradiseonbloor.com and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Anyone who has been involved with opening a new space knows how hard it is. The anticipation and preparation around our opening was so intense, and so recent, that it is, frankly, very hard to think that we’re going to have to close our doors again.

Since December, and only January for the restaurant and bar, we’ve been meeting new people, training our staff, finding our groove. We hate to lose our momentum, just when we were starting to feel more confident. But we know that health, safety and trust is far more important.

If you love what we’re doing, and want to make sure that we remain a home for artists, musicians, filmmakers, chefs, bartenders, service professionals and more — buying a gift card is a great way to show support. It’s like a promise. Paradise is forever; this is just a moment in time. We’ll see you again soon.

Stay safe, and stay well.
