Hedwig and the Angry Inch

Play Trailer

John Cameron Mitchell’s instant cult classic saw him revive his stage role as Hedwig, (nee Hansel), a wo(man) scorned. After emigrating from East Berlin to America and surviving a botched sex change and a string of scarring relationships, Hedwig, in all her Iggy Pop meets Courtney Love glam punk glory, has finally found her voice. Second City alumna Andrea Martin rounds out an eclectic cast, including Toronto’s own Sook-Yin Lee, and Micheal Pitt as Hedwig’s duplicitous ex. Mitchell’s witty, gender-bending rock opera is just as fresh and satisfying as it ever was.
