It's A Wonderful Life

Play Trailer

This timeless parable of a destitute banker and his guardian angel was a box office disappointment upon its release in 1946, and has since become a cornerstone of holiday tradition. James Stewart strikes the right balance of wholesome and hopeless as George Bailey, whose suicide is interrupted by a rookie guardian angel looking to earn his wings. Director Frank Capra’s methodical plotting creates an infinitely rewatchable morality play, culminating in the ensemble cast’s cathartic rendition of Auld Lang Syne.

The recommended minimum age for this film is 9.
