Little Miss Sunshine
This 2004 Sundance sensation sees the remarkably dysfunctional Hoover family hit the road so that the youngest member, Olive, can take part in the state-wide Little Miss Sunshine pageant. Suffice to say, speed bumps abound. It’s the sort of film than lives or dies on the strength of its ensemble cast, and the performances here are fantastic across the board, with Second City alum Alan Arkin relishing his outlandish lines in a standout role that won him an Oscar.
