Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
Tarantino pits Hollywood vs hippies and fact vs fiction in this referential and dramatic comedy, which wildly reimagines the events leading up to the notorious Manson murders of 1969. Leonardo DiCaprio plays an actor with diminishing appeal who pals around with his equally unbookable stunt double (Brad Pitt, who just picked up a Best Supporting Oscar for his role). When this odd couple cross paths with Roman Polanski (Rafal Zawierucha) and Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie), the fates of all involved are redirected. Filled with fun cameos, a sun-soaked soundtrack and the expected dialled up violence, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is trademark Tarantino, and endlessly crowd-pleasing.
