Rosie, voiced by Canada’s own Sandra Oh (Killing Eve), is a young aspiring poet living in Vancouver with her traditional Chinese grandparents. When Rosie is invited to attend a poetry competition in Iran, her grandparents disapprove, but she attends anyway and meets many fascinating poets and others who help Rosie to piece together the puzzle of her ancestry and identity. Based on the filmmaker’s graphic novel of the same name, Window Horses is a profound journey to self-discovery replete with great wit, compassion and imaginative animation throughout.
