THIS FEBRUARY- We're calling all Valentines to join us in Paradise for love stories that will take you to another dimension... The Paradise Presents: LOVE AFTER LIFE- six films that explore the existential matters of love beyond earthly existence.

A LEGEND IS ENTITLED TO BE BEYOND TIME AND PLACE. INTERPRET AS YOU WISH. Jean Cocteau's seminal Orphic Trilogy explores themes of mortality and mythology in ways that are profound and poetic. We are thrilled the central chapter- 1950's ORPHEUS in our series.

Jean Cocteau’s update of the Orpheus myth depicts a famous poet (Jean Marais), scorned by the Left Bank youth, and his love for both his wife, Eurydice (Marie Déa), and a mysterious princess (Maria Casarès). Seeking inspiration, the poet follows the princess from the world of the living to the land of the dead, through Cocteau’s famous mirrored portal. Orpheus’s peerless visual poetry and dreamlike storytelling represent the legendary Cocteau at the height of his powers.
