THE PARADISE PRESENTS: "All the World's a Stage!" Eight films about the players...
About this event
"All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts..." -William Shakespeare
This June at the Paradise Theatre, we are celebrating the theatre itself! Join us as we journey through centuries' worth of theatrical traditions from across the globe with eight unique films that observe the hallowed art of performance. On Sunday June 19th (Father's Day) join us as we travel to the hilarious world of Blaine, and the even more hilarious world of community theatre. Featuring the comedic forces of Catherine O'Hara, Eugene Levy, Parker Posey, Fred Willard, and director Christopher Guest- it's WAITING FOR GUFFMAN!
Almost no one's ever heard of flamboyant, would-be Broadway director Corky St. Clair's hometown of Blaine, Missouri. But Corky fully expects Blaine will be his ticket to Broadway when he writes, directs, choreographs and costumes a local show celebrating Blaine's 150th anniversary in this hilarious comic spoof.
