This October, celebrate the days leading up to All Hallows' Eve on Bloor Street- for twice the frights and twice the fun! The Paradise Presents: DOUBLE FEARTURES! Five nights of dire double bills- creepy classics old and new to welcome in the spooky season.
It's back to basics for our final Double Fearture! After our presentation of James Whales' THE BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN, we're taking a comic turn with Mel Brooks' masterpiece. The tale of Dr. Frankenstein's American grandson who is out to prove that his grandfather was not as insane as people believe- it's 1974's YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN!
A young neurosurgeon inherits the castle of his grandfather, the famous Dr. Victor von Frankenstein. In the castle he finds a funny hunchback, a pretty lab assistant and the elderly housekeeper. Young Frankenstein believes that the work of his grandfather was delusional, but when he discovers the book where the mad doctor described his reanimation experiment, he suddenly changes his mind.
