What is Paradise?
The Paradise Theatre is a multi-arts venue in the heart of Bloorcourt, that offers a unique blend of film and live programming.
What are your hours of operation?
Our hours of operation are commensurate with our screenings and events. Doors typically open either 30 or 60 minutes before showtime. Please double check door time on event listing.
Is the Paradise close to transit?
Paradise Theatre is a 6-7 minute walk away from both Ossington and Dufferin station on the Bloor/Danforth line, as well as bus stops on Dufferin St. and Dovercourt Rd.
Is the venue accessible?
The Paradise Theatre is an accessible space. We have wheelchair accessible seating section on our ground floor, and an accessible washroom in the theatre lobby. Be advised that our balcony seating area is not accessible.
Is Parking available nearby?
Green P parking (Carpark 84) is available directly behind the theatre, just north of Bloor St. W.
How do I get in contact with the venue?
The best way to get in contact with Paradise is by sending an email to info@paradiseonbloor.com. Please be advised that we are a small team that hosts a large volume of events- we endeavour to respond to every inquiry but this is not always possible.
Are you connected to Blue Door Wine Shop and Cafe Paradise?
We are right next door to our sister businesses Café Paradise and Blue Door Wine Shop. Stop by for a pre-show snack and sip!
How do I buy tickets for a Paradise Screening?
You can buy advance tickets to any screening or event on the Paradise website. Our box office is open 30 minutes before every screening, and remains open for the duration of the film. Feel free to stop by and purchase tickets to any Paradise screening or event in person!
*Please note we do not oversee ticketing service for externally produced events
What is the pricing for Paradise screenings and events?
For PARADISE presents screenings General Admission is $13.50 plus HST + s/c. Student/senior pricing is $11.00 plus HST + s/c.
For our co-produced series- (Queer Cinema Club, Eastern Promises, CONTOURS, Evil Women, UNTUCKED, Paradise Book Club, Toronto Film Society etc.) General Admission is $16.00 plus HST + s/c. Student/senior pricing is $13.00 plus HST + s/c.
For our screenings with live performances (Drag Me To The Movies, Band and a Movie) General Admission is $20.00 plus HST + s/c, Student/Senior Pricing is $18.00 plus HST + s/c.
For family screenings, Youth entry (ages 3-13) is $10.00 plus HST + s/c.
*Please have valid ID when purchasing or presenting a student/senior ticket at the door. Senior admission is 65+
Do I need a printed ticket?
You do not need a printed ticket to enter Paradise events or screenings. A QR code will be sent via email after purchase, you can show it at the door on your phone or mobile device.
Is seating assigned?
For the majority of our internally produced screenings and events seating is General Admission- first come first serve. If a certain number of tickets are sold, additional seating on our balcony level will be available.

For select screenings and events, seating is assigned and you can find the venue map when purchasing your ticket.
*Please note we do not oversee ticketing services for externally produced events, and seating assignments are made at the discretion of the organizers.
Does the Paradise offer any reduced rates or discount codes?
Paradise offers student and senior (65+) rates to all film screenings. Please have valid ID ready at the door to purchase or scan this ticket type. Paradise regularly offers discount codes and offers to our mailing list subscribers.
What is the Paradise Theatre’s refund policy?
Refunds can be requested and processed up to 24 hours before a screening or event.
Does the Paradise oversee ticketing to Candlelight Concerts and other private events?
Paradise hosts a wide variety of external programming every month including film festivals, live shows, and Candlelight Concerts. We are the venue partner for these events, and all ticketing and accessibility services are overseen by their respective organizers.
