THIS SEPTEMBER … You know that we are living in a material world, so let’s take a tour with the target demographic! The Paradise Presents: MATERIAL GIRLS- a cinematic exploration of consumerism through a feminine lens. Join us for nine glossy pictures, with distinctive forms of pop sensibilities, that satirize and comment on the world in which we live.

IT'S ALL ABOUT MEN! We're heading to high society- with a wonderfully witty satire from playwright Clare Boothe Luce, adapters Anita Loos and Jane Murfin, and director George Cukor. Starring Norma Shearer, Joan Crawford, and Rosalind Russell it's THE WOMEN.

Mary Haines (Norma Shearer) can't believe her husband's having an affair with salesgirl Crystal (Joan Crawford). But when Sylvia (Rosalind Russell) and Edith (Phyllis Povah) deliver the gossip firsthand, Mary heads to Reno for a divorce. En route she meets Countess de Lave (Mary Boland) and Miriam (Paulette Goddard), who coincidentally is having an affair with Sylvia's husband. Once in Reno, the Countess finds another beau, Sylvia shows up for a divorce and Mary plots to win back her man.
