From May 10th - 18th The historic Paradise Theatre presents FLURRY OF FILTH: A John Waters Retrospective- spanning 35 years of artistic output from the Pope of Trash himself. This week-long descent into celluloid atrocities is presented by Weird Alice of Drag Me to the Movies.

THREATENING THE VERY LIMITS OF COMMON DECENCY. It’s time to follow John Waters back to his roots as we close out the retrospective with his final film - it’s A DIRTY SHAME (2004). Stick around late after the live event for a special Sleaze Factory screening. Sleaze Factory is a quarterly series that pays homage to the adult-cinema past of Paradise Theatre. There will be a special pre-show performance from the one and only Dank Sinatra!

Sylvia Stickles (Tracey Ullman) runs a convenience store with her husband and mother-in-law. One day, Sylvia is hit on the head and transforms from an uptight prude to a sex-crazed lunatic. As she goes on a rampage through town, Sylvia attracts the attention of Ray Ray (Johnny Knoxville), a sexual healer and tow truck driver in search of the world’s greatest orgasm. Their sexual revolution, however, causes a class war in their tiny Baltimore community.

This screening has been generously sponsored by our friends at Come As You Are.
