“The tenant in room 7 is very small, very twisted, and very mad”
Frank Henenlotter’s directorial debut BASKET CASE (1982) is a triumph in cult exploitation film history. Its low-budget efforts filmed in 16mm in the seedy underbelly of 1980’s New York City have since been selected for preservation and restoration by the Museum of Modern Art.
Kevin Van Hentenryck plays Duane Bradley, a young man who seeks vengeance on the doctors and nurses who performed an unwanted surgery that separated him from his deformed conjoined twin brother Belial, whom Duane hides in a large wicker basket. – YASMINA KETITA
