As celebrated conductor Lydia Tár starts rehearsals for a career-defining symphony, the consequences of her past choices begin to echo in the present.
For the grand conclusion of this winter’s unraveling lesbian trilogy, Queer Cinema Club will be returning to TÁR, a film that gave us everything we wanted when it was released in the fall of 2022… and a film that will give that all again when we screen it on February 26th.
Starring Cate Blanchett in a colossal performance as the EGOT-winning lesbian conductor myth and legend that is Lydia Tár, Todd Field’s film is an austere, hilarious and wildly entertaining ride that we are extremely excited to go on again with you all. And what’s more, we will be joined by burlesque performer Cherry Bomb, who will be offering up an onstage tribute to Ms. Tár before the film.
