A Digital Series about a down-on-his-luck cook who opens a pop-up diner inside his ex’s occult bookstore in Toronto’s Kensington Market neighbourhood. Written by and co-starring Jason Bryden
This exclusive screening of Kensington Diner season 1 at the Paradise Theatre will be followed by a Q&A with the shows creators. (Six episodes. Running time: 1 hour and 10 minutes)
There’s something about the food at Kensington Diner. Maybe it’s the market, maybe it’s the cook. Maybe it’s Irma reading tarot cards in the corner. People keep coming, in spite of there being no menu. The cook serves you food he thinks you need. A daughter invites her mum for ramen to explain why she wants an arranged marriage. A widow comes in for a drink before she goes on her first solo vacation. Friendship and hope are served-up daily at a magical hole in the wall in Toronto’s favourite neighbourhood.
Doors Open 30 Minutes Before Showtime.
