Blackhat failed to stir audiences and critics upon its initial release in 2015, but has endured for a small sect of cinephiles as one of Michael Mann’s late-stage masterpieces. And with the release of the superior Director’s Cut, the time may be just right for its complete cultural re-evaluation!
Representing the defence is critic Josh Lewis, Letterboxd royalty and co-host of genre film podcast Sleazoids, who will introduce and provide a stirring defence of the film. -MARC BASQUE AND LACEY NOVINKA
