Join us for a screening + author talk celebrating the release of Far and Wild: Adventure of the Worldwide Vet by Dr. Cliff Redford. Conversation will be moderated by Derek Forgie, followed by an audience Q&A. Books will be available for purchase, with a book signing to follow event programming. Make sure to arrive early to mingle with a few furry friends from Mutts Dog Rescue and Save Our Scruffs!
Meet globe-trotting veterinarian, Dr. Cliff Redford, and his daughter, Emily Redford, who fight for animals’ lives, anywhere in the world. After a young fox nearly dies in the surgery room, flat-lining not once but twice, Emily and her father long for wildlife rescue work and travel abroad. After two years of waiting, the Redford’s finally head back to India, where dogs, birds and monkeys, struggle with their lives, terrified by the fireworks of Diwali – The Festival of Lights.

Dr. Cliff Redford graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1998 and owns Wellington Veterinary Hospital in Markham, ON. He lives with his wife and a pack of rescue dogs in Toronto. When Derek Forgie is not entertaining in-studio audiences, he manages to balance a hearty diet of stand-up comedy and eco-activism. He boasts an eclectic resume that includes; keynote speaker, warm-up act, DJ, comic, web-series host and even the inventor of an international holiday.
