Isabelle and Virginie, two young women working at a Montreal film production company, spark an inseparable bond and spend a memorable summer exploring their mutual love of art, ambitious life goals, and private desires. The first feature film directed by a woman in Quebec, Mireille Dansereau’s debut is a colourful concoction of visual experimentalism, cheeky commentary on the woes of the male gaze and insufferable men, and a vibrant portrait of female friendship. -JACOB CREPEAULT
