Further Than The Eye Can See is set in the aftermath of a large-scale disaster, focusing on a small group of people who remain behind in search of lost sons and new worlds. Two lovers, River and Lill, fend for the future of their bond whilst mysterious entities stalk the countryside, hungry for humanity’s lifeforce.

Ry O’TOOLE’s debut feature is a pop movie that combines the emotional grandeur of wide-screen epics; the expressive, playful visual adventures of silent cinema; and the hearty inventiveness and care of a DIY production. It eschews the restrained naturalism and realism dominant in most contemporary independent film, instead fully embracing the possibilities of digital filmmaking, the expressionistic potential of CGI, and the heightened emotionality of theatrical performance, operating in an unabashedly earnest, unapologetically sincere register. -FOFS
