In 1950s rural Idaho, a young boy watches helplessly as his friends and brother fall under the spell of a mysterious widow living up the road and becomes convinced that she is a vampire.
Desire in Motion returns with a haunting daytime horror film where innocence and beauty are shrouded in darkness. In this Lynchian story told from a young boy’s perspective, Seth (Jeremy Cooper) believes that his mysterious neighbour (Lindsay Duncan) is actually a vampire responsible for multiple disappearances in the town. Lurking beyond the child’s vivid imagination are disturbing forces eager to corrupt Seth’s impression of the pastoral scenery around him.
Featuring Viggo Mortensen in one of his first starring roles, THE REFLECTING SKIN is an emotive blend of desire and death, cited as a personal favourite by Ethel Cain and an inspiration for her album Perverts.
